What Is A Faith Community Nurse?

·         A Faith Community Nurse is a nurse within the faith community who fosters wellness across the life span, focusing on the mind, body and spirit of the members.

·         This nurse works with others in the faith community to identify and prevent health problems, coordinate and align resources, and institute methods to further improve health through advocacy, education, counseling, and developing support groups and volunteers.

·         The faith community nurse does not provide hands-on care, nor do they offer services that are otherwise available.
